The Summer Village of Castle Island is located one hour from Edmonton, Alberta.  Castle Island is located on Lac Ste Anne, within Lac Ste Anne County.

FIRE BAN FOR THE SUMMER VILLAGE OF CASTLE ISLAND

EFFECTIVE APRIL 11th, 2024

 

The Summer Village of Castle Island, Thursday, April 11th, 2024 - The Fire Hazard Rating for the Summer Village of Castle Island is EXTREME.  As a result, the Fire Advisory has been upgraded to a COMPLETE FIRE BAN, effective as of April 11th, 2024, until further notice. 

 

This Fire Ban affects all burning, including cooking/warming fires (backyard fire pits), charcoal briquettes, deep fryers (e.g. turkey fryers), tiki torches, all wood burning stoves inside tent-like structures. 

 

Please report any wildfire to 9-1-1.  Provide the exact location to 911 to assist fire department personnel in locating and extinguishing these fires in a timely fashion.  Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

The Darwell Lagoon Commission Wastewater Regionalization effort is a concept to establish a regional utility model for handling wastewater within Lac Ste.
